The Civil Dialogue Program provides educators with a clear, structured approach to help students build the skills needed to engage in meaningful, respectful conversations about civic topics.
Through guided activities and proven dialogue protocols, students learn how to listen with intention, express their perspectives thoughtfully, and understand viewpoints different from their own. This lesson creates a safe and supportive environment where students can practice real-world communication skills while deepening their civic awareness.
More than just a discussion activity, this program helps schools strengthen school culture, foster empathy, and prepare students to participate thoughtfully in a diverse democracy.
Program Details

- Length: 1 class period (60–90 minutes)
