Civic Based Learning Program
(Both in-class and online Currculums)

The Civic-Based Learning Program (CBLP) guides K-12 students to critically analyze American civic values and apply common ground solutions to real problems in their school and community. Through a structured, project-based curriculum using the Gradual Release of Responsibility model, students transition from guided learning to independent civic action. The program connects youth with community leaders, organizations, and local resources, incorporating civil dialogue and authentic youth voice to ensure their projects are impactful.

Teachers receive comprehensive support, including curriculum modeling and hands-on guidance, equipping them to lead students through a six-step civic engagement model—from issue identification to project execution and community presentation. With key components like the Educator Institute, Youth Summit, Scout Island Program, and Youth Showcase, CBLP turns classroom learning into real-world change, fostering leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
