Clinay Wills
Chief Executive Officer, CEO
Clinay Wills is the founder, owner, and operator of Seasoned Trends Studio. The innovative space is also used as a community benefit for social good to offer free services and mentorship to young teens with events that empower young women to look and feel beautiful inside and out. Under Clinay’s leadership Seasoned Trends Studio with the motto “She Is Inspired” has become a regional leader vaulting all boundaries, building masterful brand development campaigns and integrated beauty solutions for major business professionals, celebrated stylist, nonprofit organizations and faith-based leaders. Clinay is a faith leader at New Kingdom Church of God in Christ. She is a graduate of California State University Northridge B.A. Communication Studies with a minor in Business Marketing and a coordinator at the Civic Education Center.

Tammy Eggert
Chief Operating Officer COO
Tammy Eggert oversees program operations, educator support, and the organization’s grant writing and fundraising strategies that sustain and expand its programs. With more than 15 years of experience in public education, Tammy has worked as an educator, after-school program consultant, and curriculum and instruction specialist, helping schools create meaningful civic learning opportunities for students. Since beginning her work in youth development and fundraising in 2001, she has inspired hundreds of young people across California’s Central Valley to pursue their goals and become active leaders in their communities. Tammy secured over $1 million in grant funding to open and operate the Sanger Youth Center, where programs such as Sanger Stewards earned county recognition and youth participants achieved the Fresno County Youth of the Year honor. In 2019, At the Civic Education Center, Tammy focuses on training students and educators in civic dialogue and guiding youth through impactful civic service-learning projects.

John Minkler, Ph.D
Co-Founder & Senior Advisor
John Minkler co-founded the Civic Education Center and previously served as Chief Operating Officer. He continues to support the organization as a senior advisor, helping oversee youth leadership programs and consulting with schools on civic engagement and student-led projects. John Minkler, was a history/civics teacher and administrator since 1971. He was a Coordinator at the Fresno County Office of Education, Director of the Center for Multicultural Cooperation and Co-Founder of the Academy for Civic and Entrepreneurial Leadership. John is author of Active Citizenship, Empowering America’s Youth, a leader of the Democracy School Program and President/Founder of the Civic Education Center

Stephen Morris, Ph.D
Co-Founder & Advisor
Dr. Stephen Morris has spent over 20 years in public education as a teacher, principal, and superintendent, in traditional public schools, charter schools, and private schools. Dr. Morris was the national Vice President for World Impact, Inc. and co-founded a private school in South Central Los Angeles for resource-deprived inner-city children. His experience and education have qualified him as a highly sought-after speaker addressing race and American Democracy. Dr. Morris authored School choice, segregation, and equity: California’s charter schools’ missions, markets, and voices of charter school leaders of color. Christiana Garcia
Youth Ambassador Chairman
Christiana Garcia serves as the Youth Ambassador Chairman for the Civic Education Center. In this role, she helps lead the Youth Ambassador team, which serves as the outreach arm of the Youth Service Council by connecting with students, schools, and community partners to expand youth participation in civic engagement. Christiana works to elevate student voice and encourage young people to become active leaders in their communities.

Damian Martinez
Youth Council President
Damian Martinez serves as President of the Civic Education Center’s Youth Service Council, where he leads youth members in identifying community issues and developing civic service-learning projects that create positive change. As president, Damian helps guide discussions, coordinate youth initiatives, and ensure that student perspectives remain central to the council’s work and mission.
