California Civic Learning Summit

We had the opportunity to take 10 Fresno Unified High School student to the first California Civic Learning Summit at the California Museum in Sacramento, CA on Tuesday November 15th to present their Civic Learning Projects. Sunnyside High school's project was on the Peace Mural at Terronez Middle School. The intent of this mural is to provide symbol to combat bullying on school campuses districtwide. Bullard High School Students presented on their advocacy against racism as a result of an incident at their school. All students had the opportunity to tour the state capitol and Assemblyman Jim Patterson's office. Thank you to our sponsor and to Jim Patterson for making this possible.
